Apothecary items, B&O Railroad Station Museum: Ellicott City Station.  The oldest surviving railroad station in America, built 1830.Guarded by the 138th Penn. and the Patapsco Guards during the Civil War, when the town was called Ellicott’s Mills.  Temporary Hdqtrs of General Lew Wallace, July 1864 after the retreat from the battle of Monocacy.
